Description:
The contemporary piano “clinic" can be offered as a lecture or workshop targeting challenges in contemporary piano repertoire such as rhythmic complexity, extended techniques and performance with interactive or fixed electronics. This format can include an open masterclass for soloists and chamber music ensembles. Alternatively, individual drop-in sessions can be arranged for students working on specific pieces or problems. Participants are encouraged to get in touch before the session in order to discuss repertoire and ask questions. The clinics aim to address material which is not necessarily covered in regular piano lessons, and compliment the students' development by providing a different angle and a fresh and practical approach.
